RET. BRIGADIER GENERAL, VINCENT E. BUGGS

Vince is a lifelong coach, mentor, and leader with a three-decade history of dedicating his life to “aspiring to inspire” others to be the very best versions of themselves.

Vince’s journey started way before his military service. In his youth he experienced life as a military brat. This taught him the importance of military family, and the bond that it has. One of his main projects is the Holistic Soldier program, an organization which works with local communities to enhance the lives of military families in all Services’ Reserve Elements and National Guard. 

While in college, Vince coached a basketball team in the competitive Georgia Southern Intramural League. His leadership led the team to victory in the league championship using his principle of teamwork to achieve success! Vince still strives to motivate people to pursue their goals and dreams and continues to coach football and soccer and teach, both at the high school and college levels. 

Vince was commissioned a United States Army Officer in 1990, after graduating from Georgia Southern University in Statesboro, Georgia, with a Bachelor’s in History and a minor in German. He also holds a Master’s in Global History from the American Military University. He is also a graduate of the U.S. Air Force Air War College where he earned his Master’s in Strategic Studies.

Since retiring with one of the highest ranks as Brigadier General in the United States Army in 2020, Vince is now Founder and CEO of Embrace the Power and Power Pony Express Sports LLC, with his main goals to guide and develop individuals as they journey on their path of self-development to achieve their sought-after desires. With these organizations, he can provide mission strategy and destination by mentoring, coaching, team building and training to individuals and organizations.

As he awakens each day, he has one goal - to make a difference in someone's life. That’s said, Embrace who you are and be a change agent for your community, which is what Embrace the Power is all about!

I have spent my life evolving as a person. So many people are wrapped up in context and appearances, they lose sight of what's important. It's true money can’t buy long term happiness, but it can buy you short term moments. Some of the greatest people I know, found their fame and fortune, yet they always reach back to inspire so many young people to follow their dreams. That is what Embrace the Power is all about. It is about Embracing your journey to a better you. Your mission, strategy and destination in life, is determined by you!

I'm totally a gym rat these days, with a passion to watch English Premier Soccer and U.S. National Teams. I love coaching American football, hiking, biking and traveling to Europe. The world is only big, if you dream about it. The world is a small place once you buy a ticket!

I've spoken at National Football League Games, State Wrestling Tournaments, Universities, and High Schools. My goal is to help people define their goals by inspiring them to Embrace the Power of who they are, not who the world wants them to be.

I have had the privilege of living abroad in Germany, Italy and several other countries.  Each experience shaped my perspective about people and the world. No matter where you travel people are always looking for inspiration. I love traveling to Croatia and visiting the Coastline.
